CONNECTED (2011)

After centuries of declaring our independence, is it time to declare our interdependence?

Connected tracks Director Tiffany Shlain as she explores modern connectivity in its many forms, beginning with her own love/hate relationship to technology. A blend of documentary and memoir, the film unfolds during a year in which modern technology and old-fashioned personal connection take on sudden currency for Shlain. As her father battles brain cancer and she confronts a high-risk pregnancy, the primacy of human connection becomes urgent and apparent.

Through Shlain’s intensely personal story, Connected moves towards a universal understanding of the ties that link us to the people we love and the world at large.
